PCHRD encourages research institutions to upload their research to HERDIN

Taking advantage of the internet technology, more and more research and academic institutions are uploading their research publications online to disseminate their research output to the world.

The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (PCHRD-DOST) invites universities, colleges, laboratories, and medical and research institutions to upload their published and unpublished researches to the Health Research and Development Information Network (HERDIN).

HERDIN is an online database set up by the Council that enables online publishing, exchanging,  and dissemination of quality health information in the Philippines. It is the only health research repository for published researches in the Philippines.

The Database allows Filipino academic and research institutions to expand their reach and network by communicating their research to growing number of institutions taking advantage the database. HERDIN is perfect to improve an institution’s research visibility. For researchers hoping to collaborate, HERDIN is also ideal to find experts with similar field of interest.  Researchers can also track the citation on their work.

PCHRD-DOST offers free access to and free training in using HERDIN. Institutions are invited to send their letter of request addressed to PCHRD Executive Director. For more information, please call Ms. Jeverly Principe at (02)837-7534.
