13th National Forum on Health Research for Action
Manila, Philippines – November, 2012
Theme: Kalusugan Pananalisik para sa Kalusugan Pangkalahatan (KP 4 KP)
The Health Policy Development and Planning Bureau, Department of Health will be conducting the 13th National Forum on Health Research for Action (NHRFA) on November 8-9, 2012 to be held in Manila, Philippines. The goal of this forum is to present evidence that can lead to concrete policy actions that will speed up the achievement of Kalusugan Pangkalahatan.
Authors are invited to submit research studies/papers for presentation in the forum. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Achieving Kalusugan Pangkalahatan
- Resolving Inequities in Health
- Institutionalizing and enhancing the Health Systems
– health financing
– service delivery
– policy, standards and regulation
– governance for health
– human resources for health
– health information
- Innovating on health technologies that support health-related MDGs, neglected diseases and others
- Documenting reports or accounts of innovative health projects/programs management in local and international settings
INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURES:
- Submit an abstract (300-500 words) and executive summary (2-3 pages) to:

- The Executive Summary must include the following: a) Introduction/ Rationale; b) Objectives of the Study; c) Research Questions; d) Sampling and Methodology; e) Results and Findings; f)Conclusions and Recommendations
3. Include the following additional information relative to your submission: a) name; b) position/ profession; c) office; d) contact numbers and address; e) year study started and completed; f) Key messages or keywords
- The Selection Committee will review and approve your submission no later than October 15, 2012
- Deadline for submission of research or paper entries is until October 5, 2012.
