Call for IT Innovators: Global Forum on Research and Innovation IT4Health Contest

The Council on Health Research for Development (COHRED) and the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (PCHRD-DOST), in partnership with the Health Sector Catalysts, recently launched the IT4Health Innovations for Global Health Contest.

The contest is designed to create big data analytics or information technology solutions that will address arising problems from the six forum sub-themes such as public accessibility to research data, innovation and technology in disaster risk management, and citizen engagement in health governance.

Health professionals, programmers, and software developers globally are encouraged to join the competition. An online portal was built as a platform for submission of innovative health applications.

The three winning teams will receive $7,000 cash prize and participation in the 5-day social incubation camp which includes workshop on marketing, branding, and strategies to scale-up their innovations.
