As the national coordinating body for health research, we offer central direction, leadership, and coordination of health research activities that promote a gender-responsive environment and ensure equal opportunities for women, men, and other gender groups.

To be recognized as the leading provider of research-driven solutions and innovations that address the health system’s needs, fostering optimal growth and ensuring equal empowerment for women, men, and other gender groups within the health sector.

GOALS

Our goals aim to promote inclusivity, increase capacity, and enhance the organizational environment for all stakeholders.

1. Strengthen the integration of gender perspectives into health research policies, programs, projects, and activities to promote inclusivity and equity.
2. Increase the capacity of PCHRD staff, researchers, agencies, and other stakeholders to incorporate gender concerns and components in project design, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E).
3. Enhance the organizational environment of PCHRD to be more empowering, equitable, sustainable, free from violence, respectful of human rights, and supportive of the self-actualization of human potential.
