The Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) in partnership with #HealthXPH will hold the First Philippine Summit on Social Media and Healthcare that will be held in Cebu City on February 21, 2015 at the Santa Maria Grand Ballroom, Radisson Blu Hotel.

Anchored with the theme “Synergies in Social Media and Healthcare,” the summit will focus on how social media changes the interaction between healthcare professionals and patients.

One of the event highlights is the release of the Social Media and Medical Professionalism: A manifesto from #HealthXPH. Parallel sessions will include topics on protecting patient privacy and confidentiality in social media, social media and health promotion, profession education and patient stories in social media.
