7 researchers receive Most Ready to Publish Paper Award at 13th National Medical Writing Workshop
Seven out of the 33 researchers were awarded the “Most Ready to Publish Paper” during the 13th National Medical Writing Workshop and 6th Writeshop for Young Researchers on 8-9 January 2018 at The Oriental Hotels and Resorts, Legazpi City, Albay. The award is given to participants whose papers are organized, well-written, and have the greater potential to get published in peer reviewed journals.
Winners for this batch were from the National Capital Region, Region 3, Region 4A, and Region 11, as follows: Ms. Amalea Dulcene Nicolasora of the Department of Health-Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, Ms. Mary Grace Pelayo of the Department of Health, Ms. Lozel Villadore of the Manila Doctors Hospital, Ms. Iza Donna Togbo of the Philippine Women’s University, Mr. Aaron Carl Tejano of Mabalacat City College, Dr. Norbel Tabo of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, and Ms. Maria Catherine Otero of the Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc., who received tokens and certificates along with the recognition.
The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development, in partnership with the Philippine Association of Medical Journal Editors (PAMJE) and Asia Pacific Association of Medical Journal Editors (APAME), conducts the writing workshop twice every year to help young researchers in health sciences acquire practical knowledge and writing skills in developing scientific articles for publications in scholarly peer-reviewed journals.
